This poem started back in December 2004, under the title Entranced. Originally it was a sociopolitical poem about cutting yourself out of society, the anarchism behind the meaning of I. It was a too punctured poem.

When I sat to work on it, a few days ago, I cut it into little pieces, taking out fragments that seemed to make sense, casting aside most of the poem. Then it started changing, new meanings and words came in, the original draft was erased almost to nothing, and when I was looking at the final result I was amazed at how affected it is by current political and sociopolitical events.

Although the story of Gilad Shalit, [link] , has a lot of influence on this poem (maybe because of the protest-march in Israel's streets nowadays) I did not intend it to be about him. This poem is more about us as a society, our habits, our choices, about the way we play in a sandbox and claim for rationality.

This poem is also written more as a Prose Poetry than regular free style. I'm still thinking whether it should be in paragraphs or as this.

Amazing piece, you're truly and inspiration.

I kind of love anytime you talk about kitchen work in a poem.
