37: It's Nighttime, an I'm Sleeping

Yes. I'm sleeping.

Well, not really. Obviously I'm writing this.

But in fact, and you can see it if you look really really closely...

...BANG!

I'm sleeping.

That's how a sleeping man sounds - *snore* *snore*. Or, more precisely, it is the sound of the mind not working, the brain kicking in, the sub and un conciouses are looking for a prey, and that thin layer of nearly-feeling, or post-feeling, is the only thing that connects the You and the It. You, being who you are. It, being what you are when you are sleeping.

I don't know if you've ever really looked at a sleeping person - it is not the same person you knew before the sleeping kicked in.

1. It is moving strangely, usually in abrupt movements, once in an hour or so.

2. It is talking, sometimes, incoherently, narrative lacking, a babble of something semi-human.

3. It is alive. You know it is alive. You feel it is alive. But it is not the alive you expect it to be.

The strangest thing about it is that you are It. Yup, and you know you are, and there's nothing you can do about it. Once a day, or so, you are bound to be It. The strange semi-human, semi-Itness.

And when you are that It, when you are in that sleep-mode, you are not yourself, nor can you be, or anything close to it. You are an It, with all the Itness that the Itses have.

So what is it about Itness that makes it so so strange? Well, the most obvious answer is We, the none Itses. We look at the Itses, as if they were part of We, and once they are there, in the Itness, they are not We. They are Itses. And Itses, as much as We would like to think otherwise, are strange and none-human.

So, if You are It, and We are It. And I will be an It, when the time comes. Then surely, or most absolutely, I am an It in potential. Therefore we are all potential Itses.

Coming to the conclusion, dear friends -

WE ARE ALL IT.

Now go read Stephen King and let me know what that makes you feel at this moment. Ouch.

- Omri.

Reading is Life

:new:Shakespeare - The Merchant From Venice

I've never felt so dirty being a Jew. On the other hand, I never read such a display of criticism on the way the Jews are depicted. On the third hand, this is not a play about Jews! So, coming down to it - Shakespeare was and still is an effing genius. Damn you Shakesy!
